activity
The question that made me realize was what i hate about myself and i answered mood swings.Everyday ay school or at home people around me tend to avoid me or i will not talk to them because i am very masungit. When i am in a bad shape or woke up at the wrong side of the bed i tend to keep quiet and not talk to anyone. While some undertands me because they know what i am like. In the end i realized that it is not about understanding me but it is how i treat people i know that i have to change because i know that in the end they might ignore me permanently and not be my friend anymore. I have to control my feelings. I have to change not just for me but for the others as well.

UP !
I watched UP with a friend of mine and we enjoyed it so much because it’s fun and exciting. The movie had few characters yet it fulfilled the audience with amusing voyage. The movie never stopped to entertain and surprise us. What I saw in the internet were the directors of UP Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera on how they easily came up with the story.
The movie taught us to be true and believe in ourselves. We shall not allow anyone to destroy our dreams and aspirations in life. We must continue to enjoy and make our dreams come true in our own little way. We must learn to be patient and allow people in our life to enter and be part of it. As to movie UP Carl Fredicksen never gave up and continued his journey for his loving wife to show that dreams still do come true even at an old age. Russell helped him fulfil his dream and in the end they both learned to understand each other and no letting down and to keep their promises to one another. It helped children, teenagers, and adults to optimistic and be awake to appreciate life has to offer. One of the best movies to watch of all time.

Atang de la Rama
Last December 11 2008 we watched Floy Quintos’ Atang. The play was about the life of Honorata de la Rama. She was a singer and performer who became the first Filipina film actress. It was extraordinary because now a days performers like her are barely noticed, it is not often shared to many. Atang started at the age of 7 and already starring in Spanish zarzuelas such as Mascota, SueƱo de un Vals, and Marina. Based on the play we watched I can tell how good she was, how talented she was in singing and how she caught every mans’ heart by her charm.
The play started with Gian an actress how she wanted to play the role of Atang in a movie to share the people who she really was. But Atang herself hesitated to let anyone play her role because she wanted her life to stay as a mystery. In the end she knew that she will be forgotten.
As a student it is interesting how the first actress came about. Who she was and where she was discovered. During the play it answered few of my questions. The play was amazing because they had good actresses and actors. They sang the songs of Atang during her time and in her movies as well. It struck me how they captured Atangs’ voice. They danced during the singing. It was good to watch. The play ran very nicely the lights were evenly placed. The costumes were very old and was identical during the 90’s.
I enjoyed watching the play yet the songs were too many and hard to understand still it was nice. I would recommend for everyone to watch to understand and remember our beloved Atang d la Rama.

the new sex scorecard artilce
The article is about men and women and their differences. Most of the time we compare one another according to our appearance, and what we can and cannot do. Based on the article, they have sited few things how men and women are very much unlike.
Men and women are different thinkers, depending on the experience, and the world around them. On what I have read men are more likely to be logic thinkers. Men are good at solving things, doing tasks, they analyze. Men are more on the cognitive side of the brain. Women are more on the intuitive side. Women are good at people reading, gifted in detecting feelings and thoughts of others. Women are emotionally attached. Women like to talk often and doing best in public speaking.
Another example as to compare men to women is men are good in navigating directions instead of telling them where it is verbally, while women are good in landmarks, pointing where to go. As a student I believe it depends on the situation and how well a person understands each other. Directions are not that easy.
Depression is one of the common things that men and women are alike. It also depends on the situation, I learned from the article that women are worse to be depressed because we take so long to move on and forget about the problem. We tend to think about it over and over again. Men get depressed to but takes a short time to overcome it. Men drink late hours, do other curricular activities to forget while women stay at home and eat.
As the article said ‘’Nothing unites men and women better that sex’’. As a young student, based on what I watch in movies or in series they make love for fun, to get together. On the article women only have sex when they are ready or in love and when they get married. Men often do it for fun, some to get score by women not by emotion. Making love is often a mistake. It can break relationships, even marriages. Men cannot resist the temptation of making love. Both sexes tend to do it with others even if they have a partner because of the different satisfaction given to them. But time changes and people change so do men and women.
From what I understood, and based on the people around me men and women are the same but acts differently according to situations and what they feel like doing. In summary, both makes mistakes, men and women get depressed, both thinks accurately and how well they easily understand, both can make happy or unhappy marriages, they have same urges to date others except with their partner, etc. With these facts people can learn from it and discover why we act like this. And as a student I will be able to understand myself more on my body and my attitudes. Differences does not only come from what we see but with where we come from, what genes did we get from our parents, from our lolos’ and lolas’, and it only passed on to us. But it is up to us as well to make it right.

mind reading
Every person has its own way of telling things. It is either by action, or by words. Communicating verbally is not all easy to do most people tend to say things without hesitation. They say things that aren’t easy to understand that they make it difficult for person to understand. Otherwise communicating verbally takes also effort and understanding. Communicating nonverbally meaning using only facial expressions, attitudes, how people act among other people. It is hard to act as if there is nothing wrong or something is bothering us. It is also hard to keep quiet where everything is ok and people tend to ask you what it is. It is better to stay shut and show emotion with people whom you know.
Mind reading is not easy depending on the situation and the action of the person is doing. Mind reading is analyzing and understanding a person for his/ her way of communicating. Like children or as babies they understand their elderly by staring at them watching their mouths with how they speak, eavesdropping, body language. And babies react as to crying or shouting to have what they want. As adults we stare and analyze the person we are talking to and or seeing someone we know how they act and speak. For example if I see a friend crying or desperately sad I know as a friend that there is something wrong but already knowing that you have to get deeper what is really behind it all. As the friend I know everything about her and when she cries I give her a moment to calm down to rest and that is where I come in and talk about it. Another example street children once they come to your door and puts his or her hand on you window you know that he or she wants something either money or food. We can read minds with their action. As a parent they know what a child wants for their children. In need of food, comfort, love and as well as material stuff. As quoted in the article “is a critical human skill. It's the way we make sense of other people's behaviour and decide on our own next moves.” Meaning it also depends on the reaction or the feedback of the person whom you are communicating to. We decide what we want to say and what language we use to communicate back or if we care or not. This also helps us to understand better the emotional, physical problem of the person; sad, happy, depressed, tired, etc. But sometimes we tend to hurt other people because we can tell how everything is going to be said and done. All this can be based not on the culture but how we react on a certain problem. Most countries also have different perception on how they see things with nonverbal communication. We have the same attitude on how we react on the communicator.
Mind reading is also considered as a sixth sense because we already know the feeling without asking the person what is wrong. Senses are the answer because we are all human beings we feel the same so we know if the person is confused, unhappy. We define the facial expressions of the person and their body language. It all depends on how they speak with high tone or low peach voice on their gestures how they move their arms, body and how the facial expressions change to one emotion to another. We must know our limitation with using communication skills.
Based on my perception we do the same, we understand the same we must carefully learn more on how they think and we should think before we speak. And we know that no matter how you hide you emotion people can still see it and feel at the same time. But with understanding each other instantly we can also help one another by showing we care and staying by their side.

how to be happy
By Willie T. Ong, MD
The Philippine Star November 25,2008
On the lifestyle page of the Philippine Star I saw an article that caught my eye which was titled How to be happy. It struck me because nowadays people are often sad and barely have time for themselves. Friends and family members are mostly stressed and tired of their daily lives. My friends often say ‘’ayoko na mag-aral’’ and sometimes I also say things like that but I always keep in mind on my goal. The article is about how to be happy and get happy. I may not count them all but in short it tells us more about knowing oneself because being happy is not based on others but for yourself. There are few advices as well that hit me example use your talents. I love to dance so much that with that talent I am able to give it all there and release my tension and stress in school and in other problems as well. Count your blessings it helped me realize much I have in life. It is not measured in money or fame but with friends and family and how much you are loved by them. There a lot of advice that helped get through the rough times. I believe that with more articles about life, people will be less ‘’masungit’’, or stressed in life. It helps you to be fit as well to help boost up your energy and be active. As a student even the article is short, it can do a lot of things to a person change and believe in oneself.

Greta Garbo
Deogracias A. Rosario
Greta Garbo by Deogracias A. Rosario is based on the famous actress long ago. Based on what I have learned Greta Garbo was one of the first actresses in the states. She was very beautiful that everyone adored her. I think the author was inspired in writing her story because how amazing the life of the actress and dramatic her life was. It was that Greta Garbo said ‘i want to be alone’ which really meant was ‘i want to be left alone’ I think what she meant was to let her be herself and allow her to do her work as an actress. As a student I was inspired by her words because everything is up to you not what others think.
On the story by Deogracias her character Monina Vargas is an ordinary woman who was loved by every man because she looked like the gorgeous Greta Garbo. This short story is easy to read because of how it was composed. The story was more likely to be poetic because of her choice of words in describing her characters. How she compiled her paragraph to essay. Because of the story I enjoyed reading it because how dramatic the main character was for her love to Octavio and how she sacrificed waiting for him. She only believed that no other man can replace her love for him. It was exciting and unbelievable that there is such thing as love like Monina to Ocatvio. Sad but realistic because in real life not everything has a happy ending.

gay or not?
for the past few days i haven't thought of anything that i could write here in my blog and i just realized that i am in an exclusive school and i can not wonder how a girl to girl relationships last. i researched, i learned a couple of things.
We are all too familiar with the union of man and woman in marriage. But, are you aware of gay or lesbian marriage? This is one growing issue in our society that we could not choose to ignore. Now, the real question is: Same-sex marriage. Should it be legal or not?
The percentage of gay couples and lesbian couples nowadays has grown into noticeable numbers. However, there are people who oppose to it. Their main reason is that they believe that this is a sin. But, there are also people who believe that it is perfectly fine to be involved in this kind of relationship. After all, the main thing that matters is the love they have for one another.
With people opposing same-sex marriage, it is the couples who are greatly affected. They do not receive the same rights and benefits that male-female couples receive. In the United States for example, gay couples do not have benefits such as sick leave to care for their partner or insurance breaks. Same-sex couples can now legally marry in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and a number of other states have created marriage-like relationships for domestic partnerships and civil unions.
Same-sex marriage is a hot-button political topic these days. It has been made into a political point that straight men and women become gay or lesbian in order to forget their opposite sex relationship.
Nowadays, adults are not the only ones involved in same-sex relationships. It also occurs among the youth, often to those in all-boys or all-girls schools. They tend to form relationships inside the walls of their schools since they are not exposed too much to the outside world. As a result, they grow up with their minds set to interacting with the same-sex. The idea of mingling with the opposite sex scares them.
But based on what I have learned, it is not all about forgetting the past. It also involves learning to love. People say that it is an act of rebellion in order to show how hurt they were by their past. Based on my observation here in my own school and outside, it’s not rebellion. It is simply love. and i do believe it.
