gay or not?

for the past few days i haven't thought of anything that i could write here in my blog and i just realized that i am in an exclusive school and i can not wonder how a girl to girl relationships last. i researched, i learned a couple of things.

We are all too familiar with the union of man and woman in marriage. But, are you aware of gay or lesbian marriage? This is one growing issue in our society that we could not choose to ignore. Now, the real question is: Same-sex marriage. Should it be legal or not?

The percentage of gay couples and lesbian couples nowadays has grown into noticeable numbers. However, there are people who oppose to it. Their main reason is that they believe that this is a sin. But, there are also people who believe that it is perfectly fine to be involved in this kind of relationship. After all, the main thing that matters is the love they have for one another.

With people opposing same-sex marriage, it is the couples who are greatly affected. They do not receive the same rights and benefits that male-female couples receive. In the United States for example, gay couples do not have benefits such as sick leave to care for their partner or insurance breaks. Same-sex couples can now legally marry in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and a number of other states have created marriage-like relationships for domestic partnerships and civil unions.

Same-sex marriage is a hot-button political topic these days. It has been made into a political point that straight men and women become gay or lesbian in order to forget their opposite sex relationship.

Nowadays, adults are not the only ones involved in same-sex relationships. It also occurs among the youth, often to those in all-boys or all-girls schools. They tend to form relationships inside the walls of their schools since they are not exposed too much to the outside world. As a result, they grow up with their minds set to interacting with the same-sex. The idea of mingling with the opposite sex scares them.

But based on what I have learned, it is not all about forgetting the past. It also involves learning to love. People say that it is an act of rebellion in order to show how hurt they were by their past. Based on my observation here in my own school and outside, it’s not rebellion. It is simply love. and i do believe it.
